The CEO of WhiteStone Event Place in Oniru, Kehinde Onabanjo-Iyiola, popularly known as KOI, has revealed how her team prepared the newly established event centre for the white wedding of Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile and his wife, Davita Lamai.
The highly anticipated wedding took place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, attracting several prominent personalities from the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Following the star-studded celebration, Ayomide Davido, CEO of Aso Ebi Styles, engaged Onabanjo-Iyiola in a conversation about the preparations for the event and why the couple chose WhiteStone Event Place for their special day.
The wedding was the first event hosted at the venue following its opening. The event centre’s management worked alongside the wedding planning company Zapphaire Events, owned by Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, to ensure the venue was ready for the occasion.
During their conversation, the CEO of Aso Ebi Styles asked whether hosting Zlatan and Davita’s wedding as the venue’s first event was intentional or coincidental.
Responding, Onabanjo-Iyiola confirmed that it was intentional and expressed gratitude to the couple and the planning company for trusting them with such a major occasion.

She explained that the project began in February 2026, while the couple’s representatives visited the venue to make enquiries around May, when construction and preparations were still underway.
According to her, the couple initially had concerns about whether the venue could be completed in time for the wedding, given that less than five months remained.
“When we came in here, we were just about four months into the project. We started this project February this year, and they came here around May to make enquiries,” she said.
She added that the team continued to reassure the couple that the venue would be ready, expressing gratitude to God for helping them complete the preparations beyond their expectations.
“They were very sceptical. They were worried at that period that, is it possible? How do you guys will be able to get this place ready in less than five months? But we kept assuring them that they should not worry. We have gift of men. God came through beyond our imagination, and of course, it was a beautiful day for them yesterday,” she added.
During the conversation, the Aso Ebi Styles CEO also asked what other factors influenced the couple’s decision to choose WhiteStone Event Place, aside from the attraction of being the first couple to host an event at the newly built facility.
In response, Onabanjo-Iyiola highlighted the venue’s accessibility and extensive parking facilities as some of its major advantages.
She explained that its location along the coastal road makes it accessible to guests travelling from different parts of Lagos, particularly those familiar with the Oniru neighbourhood.
The WhiteStone CEO also disclosed that the venue accommodated more than 650 cars during the wedding, adding that its parking facilities could accommodate close to 800 vehicles.
“Also, talking about our parking space, I think they parked over 650 cars. We have a space that allowed long-stretched parking and the inner road. We can park close to 800 cars,” she said.
She further explained that the traffic experienced around the venue was partly caused by guests arriving in exotic cars and wanting to showcase their vehicles rather than use the designated parking spaces.
The wedding of Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai was among the major celebrity events held in Lagos over the weekend, attracting entertainers and other high-profile guests.
