The Bible is considered to be one of the most difficult texts on the planet to correctly understand. It takes more than just the human brain to read and comprehend it correctly; it requires the Holy Spirit to be there with you in order for you to do so.
The vast majority of people think that the old testament regulations no longer apply after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, while some are adamant that they do so because they believe that the Bible is one and that every word contained within it should be respected and followed.
We would be grateful if the Bible scholars in the house could assist us in verifying and interpreting some of these Bible verses because, on the face of it, there appear to be actions that we take on a daily basis that are in direct opposition to the teachings and practices of the Bible, both in the Old and New Testaments, and we would appreciate their assistance.
In the next section, we offer examples of these behaviors, as well as Bible scriptures to support the assertion
1. Braiding of Hair and donning everything garments
According to 1 Timothy 2:9, women are not permitted to braid their hair and are forbidden from dressing in costly apparel.
“I also encourage ladies to present themselves in a modest manner. The dress code should be acceptable and suitable, and they should avoid attracting attention to themselves by styling their hair, wearing gold or pearls, or wearing expensive apparel.”
2. Taking a close look at a lady’s behind
According to Matthew 5:28, “But I warn you that a man who merely appears upon a girl for the purpose of lusting for her has committed adultery with her in his heart,” this behavior is prohibited by the Bible.
3. Women Pastor
Throughout the world, this is one of the most often practiced practices in churches. Even the majority of women own churches and serve as pastors. However, according to 1 Corinthians 14:34, “Women are to keep silence in the churches.” However, they are not permitted to talk and, as the law requires, they must remain in subjection.”
4. Shaving and trimming the beards
“Do not trim your hair on the sides of your head or clip the margins of your beard off,” according to Leviticus 19:27.
5. Consuming more food than you need to
Most individuals eat more than they need without realizing that they are committing a sin, as Proverbs 23:2 instructs us: “Put a knife to your throat if you are a heavy eater.”
6. Making disparaging remarks about your neighbor
What would life be like if there was no gossip? Check out Leviticus 19:16 for those who are unaware that spreading slander among your people is a sin: “You must not go about putting your neighbor’s life in danger; you must not put your neighbor’s life in danger.” “I am the LORD your God.”
7. Drawing Tattoos
Among celebrities all around the world, this is a very regular occurrence. They are tattooing every inch of their bodies without realizing how much of a sin they are committing. “Do not hack your dead corpses or tattoo your skin,” says Leviticus 19:28, admonishing us not to do so. ‘I am Yahweh,’ I declare.”
How many of these sins do you find yourself committing on a regular basis?
